Description Technical Specs
This cookie mold is from the Swiss-Romansch children's story A Bell for Ursli. Ursli is a boy in the Engadine area of Switzerland. Every March the First, all the boys in the town participate in a procession to drive Winter out of town and welcome Spring. It's called the Chalandra-Marz procession. Each boy rings a cow bell in the parade. Ursli is given a very tiny bell to ring and he is embarrassed that the bell is so small. So he goes up to a summer hut in the Alps nearby that his family owns. He knows that in that hut is a very large cow bell. He finds the bell and returns home. Naturally his family has been very worried. In the end, he has the biggest bell and is chosen to lead the parade. More about the book can be found on the website expatsincebirth.com

The carving is well done showing Ursli in a costume with a pointed hat and an enormous cow bell. Given his elaborate costume, we think this would be a cool cookie mold for Halloween.

This mold reproduction is made of a food-safe resin that is unbreakable and waterproof. It comes with metal eyelet hanger attached at top for display on a wall. In addition to making cookies, you can make ornaments using this mold (we recommend non-toxic modeling materials such as Paperclay or Delight).
