Description
Technical Specs
Large Gingko Leaves springerle mold. The gingko leaf of today is referred to as "the oldest living fossil". This is because the same leaf has been found in fossils dating back 270 million years. Some with a warped sense of humor, might use this for an "Over the Hill" birthday party. (But you didn't hear it from us!)
The fan shape of the leaf makes it a very pretty design for tea, summertime, and feminine events such as wedding showers. The mold is well detailed, dimensional and all the leaf veins are distinct when pressed into your springerle dough. Your guests will comment on the details, to be sure.
You can use this mold for crafting; try medallions on greeting cards (We recommend Delightâ„¢ 15003). It also makes a cute cupcake topper using fondant. See alternate photos.
Springerle Cookie Cutter Tips
: Use a plain round cutter found as a single (11064, 11252, ) or as part of nested set 12111. A subtle fluted round from either nested set 12007 or 12112 looks well also. Avoid the 2.5" Ateco fluted round--the large scallop of this cutter would overwhelm the mold design.
Springerle Dough Thickness Tip:
5-8 mm using Dough Guides 10009.
66 mm x 67 mm / 2.6 in x 2.6 in
