Description Technical Specs

Maple leaf springerle mold. It is a national symbol of Canada and one of the prettiest leaves of both the summer and the fall. The mold is well detailed, dimensional and even the veins are distinct when pressed into your dough. Your guests will comment on the details, to be sure. (And I am humming "O Canada" as I write this!) It is an excellent size eating cookie. You might consider flavoring your dough with our maple flavoring oil!

You can use this mold for crafting; try medallions on greeting cards (We recommend Delightâ„¢ 15003). It also makes a cute cupcake topper using fondant. (I'm thinking maple flavored frosting.) See alternate photos.

Springerle Cookie Cutter Tips: Use a plain round cutter found as a single (16024, 11051) or as part of nested set 12111. A subtle fluted round (single: 16010) or from either nested set 12007 or 12112 looks well also.

Springerle Dough Thickness Tip: 5-8 mm using Dough Guides 10009.

leaf prints too shallow compared to border November 21, 2016

Beautiful mold, even the veins of thebkeaf are shaded so it is easy tonsee the details before you even press it into dough. I wish the leaf was carved as deeply as the border to make the image more prominent.
