Description Technical Specs
Finished cookie diameter (distance between opposite star points): 1.875 inches.

Star with scrollwork springerle mold. This fine mold was carved by the Neff brothers of the Appenzell region, Switzerland. This star's details are intricate and all of them come out on the cookie. This is a perfect eating size cookie. It has two bigger brothers, star molds 1693 and 1690.

Recommended custom cutter: 17308

You can create at least four cookies using this mold with two different sizes each of round fluted set 12111 and 6-point star cutter set 12411 from our nested sets.
You can cut:
  • The exterior star larger than the molded dough using a large 6-point star cutter.
  • Inside the star using a very small 6-point star cutter for a different look.
  • Outside the molded dough with a fluted round cutter from the nested set.
  • The interior circle with a small cutter from the nested set.
This mold is made of a food-safe resin that is unbreakable and waterproof. It comes with metal eyelet hanger attached at top for display on a wall. In addition to making cookies, you can make ornaments using this mold (we recommend non-toxic modeling materials such as Paperclay or Delight).

Recommended dough thickness: 8 mm using our Dough Thickness Guides.

Great little mold for cookies for gifts. Sometimes I make Springerle with just the small molds. Bite size cookies are very popular with my friends
